Summer School on Gröbner Bases in Various Domains of Algebra

August 17-21, 2026 Tashkent New Uzbekistan University

Gröbner bases are a fundamental tool in modern algebra, providing effective methods for solving systems of polynomial equations and studying ideals, modules, and algebraic structures through computational techniques. Since their introduction, they have played an important role in commutative algebra, algebraic geometry, invariant theory, representation theory, and related areas.
This summer school, “Gröbner Bases in Various Domains of Algebra,” aims to introduce participants to the theory, methods, and applications of Gröbner bases across different algebraic contexts. The program will combine foundational lectures with examples and applications, highlighting both classical results and current developments. It is intended for graduate students, early-career researchers, and anyone interested in computational and structural aspects of algebra.
